The Core 5 Step Approach To Designing And Delivering Our Security Training Courses
Step 1: ASSESS
We achieve this through the initial interview process, asking a series of questions, with the client and the trainee, to ensure that the training delivered is meaningful and relevant and meets the needs and expectations for the trainee and the client.
- How is the training topic going to address an opportunity or problem?
- What should be happening differently as a result of the security training?
- How will you know the learning has made a difference or what will change?
Step 2: INVOLVE
We believe that managers are a huge component of making training stick. When managers are not involved in setting expectations about the training or following up after the training, you may not see the results you are hoping for. We assist with providing managers with a way to recognise employees who are making positive changes as a result of their learning and provide a mentoring culture to trainees.
Step 3: PREPARE
We offer learners with an outline and the learning objectives of the training prior to attending, which will provide discussion topics used during the workshop. We set expectations about what they are going to learn and how they might apply the learning content. This engages learners early and gets them interested in their learning event.
Step 4: ENGAGE
We use a variety of learning methods to engage learners, such as pairs activities to engage and stimulate the mind and making it easier to learn. We also try to relate real life activities to the learning content, to enhance the learning experience.
