Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital (LLND)
CORE Training Group is committed to providing inclusive and supportive training to all students. As part of this, we aim to ensure prospective students have the language, literacy, numeracy and digital (LLND) skills required to successfully participate in their chosen course.
An LLND test can be administered for students who are unsure about returning to study or want to better understand their current skill level in relation to their prosed course. This helps us identify whether additional support or adjustment may be beneficial and ensures the course is a good fit for the student’s needs.
In context to training offered by CORE Training Group, at the Certificate II level, digital literacy requires students are able to operate a device and connect to the internet, access and navigate our LMS, aXcelerate, undertake and respond to general online communication and have a basic knowledge of device and internet troubleshooting.
We recognise the importance of incorporating digital technology into our training resources, in line with training package expectations. There is no requirement that students use AI at the Certificate II Transport Security Protection level. CORE Training Group provides resources and reading materials from which students can base their assessment answers.
For this reason, students must not use AI to research or answer assessment questions. Suspected use of AI may result in a verbal assessment. If the student cannot clearly and accurately explain their answers, the assessment will be failed. For details, see our AI and Assessment Policies via the link at the bottom of our website.
We recognise that students come from diverse backgrounds, with varying levels of ability, previous education, and life experience. CORE Training Group provides flexible and culturally responsive learning environments that are inclusive of all learners and encourage open conversations about learning needs during the enquiry or enrolment process.
Assessment
To obtain the nationally recognised qualification, AVI20325 Certificate II in Transport Security Protection, participants are required to complete the assigned written and practical assessments. Specific details regarding these assessments will be provided along with the course materials. The program may offer some flexibility in terms of timing and may include suggested work activities. These activities can be conducted on-site or in a simulated work environment, as needed. This approach will be determined in consultation with stakeholders prior to the commencement of the course.
Participants will have access to our highly qualified and industry-experienced Trainers, who will provide guidance to assist with the completion of each unit within suitable timeframes, tailored to your study goals. Additionally, Trainers are available throughout the study period to answer any questions you may have or to help you overcome any challenges encountered during the course.
The assessment due dates will be agreed upon with the learner and outlined within the training and assessment plan.
The RTO, CORE Training Group, will issue the learner Qualification: AVI20325 Certificate II in Transport Security Protection upon the successful completion of the student’s assessments.
Recognition of Prior Learning – RPL
Assessment for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is carried out through a comprehensive portfolio of evidence, a workbook, questions, and written scenarios to substantiate your claim for RPL. More detailed information about the RPL process will be provided before enrolment by one of our training assessors. During this process, you and your assessor will determine if there is a need for any additional training. If required, this can be achieved through the completion of individual units, which may incur an additional fee.
