This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.
This unit applies to all persons who may be required to provide CPR, in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.
CPR skills can be the difference between life and death for a workmate, family member, a stranger on the street, or even yourself. Whether you need it for your workplace, your club, in another setting or would just like peace of mind.
CPR is not just a useful skill; it could also help save a life and minimise the impact of ongoing injuries.
The course topics include the DRSABCD action plan and responding to emergency situations, managing unconscious casualties, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and using a defibrillator (AED).
